My first Summer class taking ceramics began with this project. A sculpture I created for my work fundraiser initially began as simply that. Creating and donating my project helped raise funds to go towards events , food and other costs related for staff holiday events. Wether its implementing the programs available at work to collect items of non use for mission trips, preventing waste and unnecessary toss away of sterile / expired packaging this cup gave me the opportunity to challenge that concept in a unique way! Creating this mug with only recycled and reclaimed items from the drape used to glazed, down to the syringes for decorating. Sponges, expired tabled drapes, towels and more all given new life and a second chance at avoiding the landfill.
